From the album “Waking into sleep – Göteborg, 270506” (KD015). What can one say that will adequately describe the beauty of Blackshaw’s work? Not a lot, to be honest. His long, languorous arrangements using 12-string guitar are, quite simply, enchanting and this live recording made in Sweden is absolutely magical. He weaves a spell over the listener with such heartfelt loveliness and the luscious sustained notes and refrains he picks out on the guitar are absorbing and delightful. Smallfish Rec links:
